Role overview
This position is part of the Data and Analytics function and involves independently handling analytical work with only light guidance from a manager or senior team members. The role focuses on building scalable, repeatable code and producing reliable insights for stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Work independently on data and analytics tasks with limited design support.
- Apply strong coding practices and advanced methods to process large datasets efficiently and in a way that can be reused and scaled.
- Build, run, and refine standard workflows so that metrics, reports, and insights reach stakeholders consistently with little manual effort.
- Use knowledge of data structures to prepare information for ingestion and analysis, combining data from multiple sources to generate insights.
- Accurately bring together Equifax, customer, and third-party data to address internal or customer analytical problems of moderate complexity, then present findings to managers and stakeholders.
- Examine code outputs for irregularities, investigate root causes, and partner with Data, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams to implement fixes.
- Explain the business impact and significance of findings, and recommend suitable next steps.
- Work with data governance and compliance teams to ensure Equifax data assets are used appropriately.
Experience and technical requirements
A BS degree in a STEM field, or an equivalent qualification, is required. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar analyst role and preferably hold a cloud certification.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, BigQuery, R, Python, MS Excel or Google Sheets, Tableau, and Looker.
- Background in working with teams to deliver descriptive and diagnostic analysis.
