Descripción del trabajo

About the company

UGL is a trusted engineering, construction, and maintenance business with delivery capability across rail and transport, communications, oil and gas, power, renewables, resources, water, and defence. The company works with major global businesses, government bodies, and private organisations, and is part of the CIMIC Group.

UGL’s Energy and Industrial division is expanding strongly, supported by several Battery Energy Storage System projects that are already in commissioning and a healthy project pipeline covering the next 3 to 5 years.

About the role

UGL is looking for an experienced Document Controller to join its Western Australia team. This position follows a 10 days on / 4 days off roster and is based DIDO, around 2.5 hours from Perth. The role is central to keeping project documentation accurate, current, traceable, and compliant throughout the full project lifecycle.

You will oversee the storage, tracking, and distribution of project records in line with UGL systems and project-specific requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle both commercial and technical project documents, ensuring they are properly controlled.
  • Support document control processes such as scanning, filing, and sending drawings and correspondence to the relevant parties.
  • Keep document registers current and accurate at all times.
  • Follow document control procedures and ensure all activities align with required standards.
  • Administer the controlled Document Management System (DMS).
  • Issue approved controlled copies of documents and drawings to project stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to protect document accuracy and version control.

About you

The ideal candidate has worked in a Document Controller role before, preferably on construction, infrastructure, or energy projects. You should be confident using document management systems and understand the workflows, rules, and standards involved in document control.

This role suits someone who is highly organised, attentive to detail, comfortable in a fast-moving site-based environment, and strong in communication and stakeholder coordination.

What’s on offer

  • An opportunity to contribute to a major renewable energy project.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, end-to-end project delivery.
  • Room to grow your career within UGL and the wider CIMIC Group.
  • A workplace culture that prioritises safety.
  • Access to health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Discounts on private health insurance.
  • Salary continuance cover.
  • Salary sacrifice and novated leasing arrangements.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Training, development, and leadership growth opportunities.
