Role overview
Rexel Australia is hiring an experienced Expeditor / Procurement Administrator to join its mining and industrial team in Welshpool, Western Australia. This is a full-time onsite position focused on keeping customer orders moving smoothly while delivering a high standard of service across branch interactions.
What the role involves
- Take responsibility for processed customer orders and help manage them through to completion.
- Handle incoming sales calls and customer requests, with a focus on reducing delays in back orders and improving DIFOT performance.
- Deliver strong customer service and sales support to a wide range of trade customers in the electrical industry.
- Prepare reports on business performance and use data to support better contract supply outcomes.
- Maintain accurate files, analyse information, and help improve internal processes.
- Respond to queries quickly and follow them through while complying with company quality procedures.
What we are looking for
- A collaborative team member who performs well in a busy, fast-moving branch environment.
- Strong attention to detail, solid organisational ability, good analytical thinking, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Advanced capability in MS Excel and practical knowledge of purchasing and supply systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to research, assess information, and recommend or apply improvements where needed.
- Good multitasking and prioritisation skills, balancing customer urgency with commercial considerations.
- Experience in the electrical, mining, or industrial sectors is preferred but not essential.
