Floater (Janitorial)

Role overview

The Floater (Janitorial) position at City Wide Facility Solutions involves cleaning one or more assigned locations according to supervisor direction and company standards. In this role, you will represent the company in client spaces, so being punctual, professional, and dependable is essential.

Compensation

This role pays $20.50 per hour.

Key duties

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors and stairways.
• Sanitize bathrooms and related fixtures.
• Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break areas.
• Replenish bathroom, break room, and common-area supplies.
• Remove trash, replace liners, and clean waste containers as needed.
• Dust office furniture and desks when items are not cluttered.
• Wash windows and windowsills.
• Keep janitor closets tidy, orderly, and safe.
• Maintain janitorial tools and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
• Use cleaning chemicals correctly, including proper labeling and dilution.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Carry out additional janitorial tasks as assigned.
• Use the timekeeping system to verify work hours.
• Coordinate with the immediate supervisor about daily priorities or schedule changes.
• Follow location-specific cleaning requirements when needed.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on client requirements.

Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, and bend repeatedly for long periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry items under 50 lbs independently.
• Loads above 50 lbs must be moved with a team lift.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Commercial cleaning experience of 1 year is preferred.
• Reliable transportation is requested.

Schedule and work setting

This is an in-person job with a Monday-to-Friday schedule. The shift falls between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and there are no night shifts.
