About the company

Myer Group unites a portfolio of well-known fashion, beauty and lifestyle labels across Australia and New Zealand. With brands such as Myer, Just Jeans, Dotti, Portmans, Jacqui E, Jay Jays, sass and bide, Marcs and David Lawrence, the business offers a fast-moving and varied environment where teams contribute to the future of retail across physical stores, digital channels and beyond.

Role overview

The Marketing Team is looking for a Graphic Designer to create multi-channel visual content that supports both campaign-led and always-on communications. This role partners closely with the Art Director, Campaign Manager and copywriters to turn creative concepts into refined, brand-aligned artwork, while also helping build layouts, templates and visual systems that keep production streamlined and consistent.

Key responsibilities

  • Create polished visual assets for a wide range of channels, including social, email, web, app, paid media and out-of-home placements.
  • Resize and adapt campaign creative for different formats, dimensions and platform requirements while maintaining design quality.
  • Develop ongoing content graphics that preserve brand consistency between major campaign moments.
  • Prepare artwork for both digital and print use, ensuring files meet the correct technical standards, resolution and formats.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to bring creative concepts to life across digital and physical customer touchpoints.
  • Convert mood boards, creative briefs and direction notes into finished design outputs suited to the brand and channel.
  • Present design directions and alternatives for review, then apply feedback accurately through multiple rounds of revisions.
  • Build and maintain reusable templates, master layouts and modular design systems to support efficient content production at scale.
  • Organise branded design assets such as fonts, icons, colour systems and graphic elements.
  • Keep up to date with design trends, platform changes and new content formats to keep the brands visually competitive and relevant.

Candidate profile

This position suits a designer with 4-5 years of experience in fashion, retail, lifestyle or a related creative setting, whether in-house or at an agency. A strong portfolio is expected, showing the ability to design across social, digital and campaign environments.

Skills and experience required

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma and InDesign.
  • Working knowledge of After Effects or Premiere Pro would be beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of design needs for social platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, as well as web, EDM and paid media.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and established visual systems, with the ability to help evolve them where needed.
  • Excellent sense of typography, composition, hierarchy, colour and detail.
  • Ability to manage several briefs at once, prioritise well and meet tight deadlines without reducing quality.
  • Comfort with preparing artwork for both print and digital output using the right technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with DAM systems, file organisation and design handover workflows.

Benefits

  • Access to generous team member discounts in-store and online.
  • Learning and development support, including capability workshops, succession planning and internal career opportunities across Myer Group brands.
  • Flexible working options for Store Support Office roles, including lifestyle leave, flexible hours and hybrid working where available.
  • Additional lifestyle benefits such as the Employee Assistance Program, volunteer leave, discounted health insurance, gym memberships and novated leasing for eligible employees.
