Role overview
Zizzi is looking for a Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen in its Bridgend restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is energetic, passionate about food and service, and committed to helping the restaurant deliver a consistently excellent customer experience. You will work side by side with the General Manager, champion the brand’s culture and values, and set the standard for the whole kitchen team.

Key responsibilities
You will have full accountability for the kitchen and play a major role in the restaurant’s success. Working closely with the General Manager, you will lead the team to produce exceptional food, maintain strong profitability, and meet health and safety requirements.
You will also be responsible for building a strong kitchen team by helping recruit, onboard, develop, motivate, and retain talent. A deep knowledge of the menu is essential, along with the ability to train others so they can deliver the same standard.
Day to day, you will collaborate with the wider restaurant team to create memorable experiences for customers, keep food presentation and quality at a high level, and make sure food costs remain within target. You will also ensure the team understands and follows company policies, processes, and guidelines.
