Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator plays an important role in delivering smooth, high-impact HR support across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with HR Business Partners and HR leadership, this position helps run essential people processes, supports client groups, and contributes to an efficient employee experience.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven role that involves pre-boarding, onboarding, offboarding, internship program coordination, HR operations support, and partnership work with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role depends on strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to balance several priorities in a busy, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out core HR processes with a strong emphasis on accuracy, consistency, and meeting deadlines.
  • Keep records, trackers, and workflow documentation updated to support scalable HR operations.
  • Look for ways to streamline procedures and improve operational efficiency.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to keep HR activities aligned and running smoothly.
  • Coordinate pre-boarding and onboarding tasks such as system access, equipment setup, and new hire preparation.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and internal teams to ensure onboarding steps are completed on time.
  • Monitor onboarding status and follow up on pending items to support a strong first-day experience.
  • Complete offboarding activities in Workday accurately and promptly, and may also help conduct exit interviews for selected employee groups.
  • Perform employee lifecycle transactions in Workday, including hires, job changes, and terminations, while maintaining accuracy and speed.
  • Review HR data for consistency, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
  • Detect and correct data issues, and raise system problems when needed.
  • Build, check, and share standard and ad hoc HR reports.
  • Respond to inquiries related to Workday and other HR processes as needed.
  • Handle confidential employee information with care and discretion.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related function within a large, fast-moving organization.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy and organization skills.
  • Hands-on experience with HR systems such as Workday or another HRIS platform.
  • Ability to manage several priorities at once in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
  • A structured, process-focused approach with a commitment to operational quality and continuous improvement.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, including Excel or Sheets for tracking and reporting.
  • Exposure to HR operations, onboarding, or employee lifecycle processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with process improvement or workflow optimization is a plus.
  • Exposure to HR programs or university partnerships is also advantageous.
