About the role

Aux Talent is working with a fast-scaling, venture-backed AI startup to hire a People Operations Manager who will help establish and grow the company’s people infrastructure. This is the organization’s first dedicated people operations role, offering the chance to influence the employee experience from the beginning while supporting a strong, high-growth team.

This position reports to the Chief of Staff at first and works closely with company leadership. The person in this role will take ownership of key people programs, HR operations, employee engagement efforts, benefits administration, and people systems as the business expands. The company is looking for someone highly organized, process-driven, and eager to succeed in a dynamic startup setting.

Key responsibilities

The role includes, but is not limited to, onboarding new employees, running performance review processes, coordinating engagement surveys, managing HRIS and other people systems, handling benefits administration, supporting compliance efforts, managing employee communications, enabling managers, leading engagement initiatives, maintaining internal wiki/documentation, tracking promotions and org changes, overseeing offboarding, and contributing to cross-functional people projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should bring at least 5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or People Program Management. They should have a background in creating and refining scalable people processes, along with strong project management capabilities. Experience with HR systems and workflow management is important, and Rippling experience is preferred.
