Role Overview

The Hygiene Operative position is based at the Gateshead site and follows a 4-on, 4-off rotation, with shifts alternating between 6:00am–6:00pm and 6:00pm–6:00am. The hourly pay for this role is £14.40.

Key Duties

  • Follow health and safety rules and site procedures to remain fully compliant with company requirements and relevant regulations.

  • Carry out cleaning tasks according to the established hygiene processes so internal and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Support production by ensuring cleaned equipment is supplied on time and in full within the area of responsibility.
  • Recognise any development gaps and actively look for training opportunities to improve skills.

Candidate Profile

The ideal person is dependable, self-driven, and highly observant. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an advantage. Helpful background knowledge includes Food Hygiene, Working at Height, COSHH, and a basic understanding of HACCP principles.
