Job overview
The hotel is seeking an energetic, self-driven Front Office professional to take on the Lobby Ambassador role and help create a welcoming first impression for every guest. This position focuses on warm hospitality, attentive guest contact, and smooth coordination at the lobby and arrival areas.
Key responsibilities
- Provide service that is consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging.
- Serve as an accessible point of contact for guests throughout their stay.
- Represent the Arabian Cultural Connection standards and engage guests at the coffee and dates station.
- Support the Rotana Service Distinction program by greeting guests at the main entrance, escorting them to the check-in area, assisting guests waiting in line, welcoming guests on the way to breakfast, checking on guest satisfaction, and saying goodbye to departing guests at the main door.
- Use the tablet registration tool to register waiting guests while they are queued for Front Desk check-in.
- Offer individualized attention to all guests, with special focus on Club Rotana guests, VIPs, and Rotana Rewards members.
- Meet arriving guests at the main entrance and when they step out of their transport.
- Identify revenue opportunities such as restaurant reservations and sales leads.
- Stay well informed about the hotel, local services, and relevant information so guest questions can be answered accurately.
- Respond to all requests and queries quickly, politely, and efficiently.
- Keep up to date with hotel promotions, special offers, and packages and share them with guests when appropriate.
Requirements
- A diploma or degree in hospitality is preferred.
- Previous experience working in the Front Office department of a hotel is required.
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language is an advantage.
- A polite, polished, and professional manner is expected.
- The candidate should be outgoing, confident, approachable, proactive, and highly customer focused.
- Good interpersonal abilities, a smart appearance, and well-groomed presentation are important.
- Competencies expected include understanding the job, taking responsibility, recognizing differences, customer focus, adaptability, and teamwork.
