Microsoft Teams Administrator

Overview

Canada Life is hiring a permanent full-time Microsoft Teams Administrator in London, Ontario. The role focuses on maintaining and improving enterprise collaboration and voice services, with an emphasis on Microsoft Teams Phone, telephony administration, number control, carrier coordination, and service reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer the Microsoft Teams Phone environment, including policies, dial plans, and voice routing.
• Configure and support Calling Plans, Direct Routing, and/or Operator Connect setups.
• Handle number porting activities and keep number inventories accurate and current.
• Check telecom invoices and billing records against expected carrier charges.
• Assist with moving legacy telephony services over to Microsoft Teams.
• Investigate and resolve problems related to voice services, connectivity, and call quality.
• Keep operational and governance documentation up to date for audit needs.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Background in telephony or unified communications support.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Phone System.
• Solid understanding of PSTN and call routing concepts.
• Experience with number porting workflows and telecom billing review.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• PowerShell scripting for Teams administration.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as QoS, latency, and jitter.
• Exposure to ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.

Compensation and Additional Information

The annual base salary range for this position is CAD 60,000 to CAD 90,000. This figure covers base pay only and does not include variable compensation such as annual bonus or commission.
