About the company

Secretlab is a global gaming chair company used by more than 3 million people around the world. Its main markets are the United States, Europe, and Singapore, where the company is based.

The Manufacturing and Supply Chain function focuses on creating high-performance products that deliver an excellent user experience by combining modern technology with strong craftsmanship.

Role overview

This position calls for an experienced NPI leader who can own major product launches while helping build a scalable, cross-functional new product introduction capability. The role is suited to someone ready to move beyond project execution into broader ownership of NPI strategy, process design, and team development.

You will work closely with Design, Engineering, Operations, and Manufacturing to make sure new products are developed with quality, scalability, and cost efficiency in mind, while also strengthening long-term manufacturing readiness.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct end-to-end NPI programs, from early design partnership through pilot production and final mass production handoff.
  • Work with Design, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to improve manufacturability, cost control, and product quality.
  • Apply DFM, DfX, and related quality methods to improve production results.
  • Create tailored manufacturing solutions by finding, evaluating, and introducing suitable technologies and processes.
  • Assess mechanical designs, drawings, and tolerances to confirm they can be manufactured effectively and fit factory capabilities.
  • Track and manage project risks and opportunities tied to schedule, budget, and quality, and convert them into practical action plans.
  • Make sure manufacturing engineering outputs are completed before major milestone gates such as EVT, DVT, and PVT.
  • Strengthen and refine NPI workflows, playbooks, and review systems so launches can be repeated at scale.
  • Spot weak points in current launch execution and recommend improvements in tooling readiness, design inputs, and supplier collaboration.
  • Help build and mentor the core NPI engineering team, with future ownership of hiring and talent development.
  • Coordinate with senior leaders in Engineering, Product, and Operations to align priorities, timelines, and readiness standards.
  • Keep current on manufacturing trends, new technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to wider operational transformation efforts that build long-term manufacturing capability.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in product industrialization or NPI, ideally within hardware or consumer electronics.
  • At least 5 years spent leading technical teams or cross-functional groups.
  • A strong track record of bringing complex products to market and solving large-scale manufacturing issues.
  • Deep knowledge of DFM, DfX, DFMEA, and manufacturing methods, especially for plastic, foam, and cast metal tooling.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
  • The ability to read engineering drawings and specifications and turn them into workable manufacturing processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Professional fluency in both English and Mandarin to work effectively with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
  • Comfort with regional travel for supplier and factory visits.

Preferred background

  • Experience in consumer electronics, lifestyle hardware, or furniture.
  • Ability to use CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
  • Exposure to Agile ways of working or other structured project management approaches.

Additional information

This position is based in Singapore and is a full-time onsite role.

It is intended for an experienced professional rather than an entry-level applicant. The role includes a clear path toward broader NPI leadership, including strategy, process ownership, and team building.
