Role Summary

This full-time, on-site Operations Manager position in Dún Laoghaire is responsible for keeping daily operations running smoothly across the design, production, and delivery of furniture and furnishing packages. The role brings together planning, coordination, team supervision, supplier management, and performance tracking to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Key Duties

The role oversees daily operational activity, keeps project schedules on track, and makes sure internal teams and external partners are working toward shared goals. It involves managing workflows, monitoring stock and deliveries, reviewing supplier performance, and introducing improvements that support efficiency and reduce operational exposure. The position also includes budget oversight, allocation of people and resources, KPI monitoring, report preparation for senior leadership, and support for wider strategic planning.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining compliance with health and safety requirements and helping to create a workplace environment that is collaborative, inclusive, and focused on high performance.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in operations management, production coordination, or project management, preferably in interiors, design, manufacturing, or a similar sector. They should be confident handling schedules, multiple priorities, and cross-functional coordination, while also being comfortable using operations or project management tools, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis to monitor performance and report on outcomes.

Strong knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and supplier/vendor coordination is important, along with the ability to negotiate timelines and service expectations. The role also calls for excellent communication, strong interpersonal ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. An interest in sustainability and environmentally responsible working practices is valued. Supervisory experience and the ability to mentor and support a diverse team are also important.

Qualifications

• Background in operations, production coordination, or project management, ideally in design, interiors, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Capability in scheduling, workflow planning, and allocating resources across several projects at once.
• Comfort using operations software, project management tools, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis for KPI tracking and reporting.
• Practical understanding of logistics, stock control, and supplier or vendor coordination, including managing timelines and service levels.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills for leading teams and working effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Good problem-solving ability, close attention to detail, and a mindset geared toward improving quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Interest in sustainability and responsible operational practices; experience applying sustainable methods is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, supply chain, or a similar subject, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Prior supervisory experience with the ability to coach and support team members in an inclusive environment.
