Role Summary
The position involves reviewing academic manuscripts in the robotics field and providing expert, objective feedback to support editorial decisions.
What You Need
- A PhD or another equivalent advanced doctorate in the relevant subject area.
- At least 5 papers published in SCI or SSCI journals within the past 3 years.
- Strong command of research methods and ethical standards in the discipline.
- Sharp analytical and critical thinking ability.
- Clear and concise written communication skills for delivering helpful, constructive comments.
- The ability to work to deadlines and manage time efficiently.
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and impartial judgment.
- Previous experience reviewing academic journal submissions is strongly preferred.
- Comfort using online manuscript submission and peer review platforms.
What You Will Do
- Check whether each paper brings a new idea, insight, or contribution to the field.
- Review the research design and methodology to confirm they are suitable, detailed, and reproducible.
- Assess whether the literature review is current, relevant, and properly supported by citations.
- Examine the results and conclusions to see if they are clearly presented and backed by the data.
- Offer practical, constructive suggestions and point out weaknesses, missing elements, or ethical issues.
- Provide a recommendation that helps the journal editor decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or declined.
