Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager to direct strategic purchasing activities for large infrastructure and mega-project work. This position is suited to someone with deep procurement experience in construction, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC settings, particularly across equipment, spare parts, and logistics sourcing.
The role calls for a commercially focused professional who can manage sizeable procurement packages, supplier ecosystems, and logistics coordination while keeping pace with project schedules, operating needs, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete purchasing process for heavy equipment, machinery, spare parts, construction inputs, and logistics support across several major projects.
- Create and implement sourcing plans that improve operational performance, support delivery milestones, and drive cost efficiency.
- Handle supplier sourcing, vendor screening, commercial assessment, contract discussions, and ongoing supplier performance review.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, commercial, and project stakeholders to make sure materials and equipment are available on time.
- Manage logistics coordination, including transport planning, freight movement, customs processing, and supply chain support.
- Identify procurement-related risks and reduce exposure linked to pricing, lead times, availability of materials, and supplier reliability.
- Make sure all purchasing activity follows company processes, contract terms, technical requirements, and project quality expectations.
- Track procurement budgets, savings initiatives, KPI performance, and senior management reporting needs.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers in local and international markets.
- Guide procurement teams and contribute to growth through planning, team performance management, and continuous process enhancement.
Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Prior leadership experience in procurement within infrastructure, construction, industrial, or mega-project environments is required.
Hands-on expertise in sourcing heavy equipment, machinery, spare parts, and logistics services is essential. Candidates should also have extensive experience managing large procurement packages in demanding, fast-moving project settings.
Strong business judgment, negotiation ability, vendor management skills, and contract administration experience are important. Exposure to EPC contractors, infrastructure developers, or large contracting firms will be considered an advantage.
The role also demands the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, time-sensitive procurement plans, and high-volume operational requirements, along with strong leadership, communication, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
Preferred Background
- Experience on major infrastructure programs
- Exposure to heavy construction and industrial operations
- Procurement of equipment and plant machinery
- Logistics and supply chain coordination
- Multi-project procurement management
- Work in EPC and large contracting environments
