React Developer - AI Trainer

Role overview

This position is for an experienced React developer who will contribute to AI training work for DataAnnotation’s coding team. You’ll join a large network of technical professionals working on real-world AI improvement across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related disciplines.

The work combines flexibility with technical challenge. You will collaborate with advanced AI systems on tasks such as creating and solving programming problems, developing feature-rich applications, and turning data into useful insights through analysis and visualization. Your output helps improve intelligent systems so they can learn and perform better over time.

Some contributors use this as a side engagement alongside another full-time role, while others treat it as their main work and choose assignments and schedules based on their availability and goals.

How selection works

To begin, you must create an account and complete a short assessment, which acts as the screening step. If you pass, you’ll receive confirmation by email and paid tasks will be made available through the platform.

Responsibilities

• Create and solve a variety of coding challenges used to train AI systems, with a particular focus on Android-related development.
• Produce well-structured code samples along with clear explanations.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Share feedback that helps improve future AI models.

Requirements

• Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
• Preferred background in Kotlin.
• Working knowledge of at least one relevant language or framework such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
• Excellent written communication, grammar, and clarity.
• Bachelor’s degree, either completed or currently underway.
• Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.

Compensation and contract details

Work is paid hourly, with rates starting at USD 50–100+ per hour and potentially higher for certain projects. Payment is processed through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. This is an independent contractor arrangement.

Availability and location

This opportunity is open only to applicants based in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand. Candidates outside these countries will not see tasks or assessments available at this time.

Work style

You can choose the projects you want to take on and decide when you work. The role is designed to be performed on your own computer and from your own home.
