Role Summary
As a Sales Development Representative, you will contribute to pipeline growth by qualifying inbound leads and supporting outbound campaigns. A key part of the role is helping develop the people who handle those leads. This position supports different LinkedIn business areas, including Talent Solutions, Sales Solutions, and Corporate Solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Screen and develop inbound as well as outbound sales leads.
- Run prospecting campaigns to create new business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications in Salesforce.com.
- Partner with Account Executives to shape industry-focused outreach and determine the best approach for new prospects.
- Arrange product demonstrations between Account Executives and potential clients.
- Use social selling tools such as Sales Navigator to find and prospect qualified leads.
- Conduct a high volume of outreach calls to decision-makers to uncover business pain points that LinkedIn Corporate Solutions can address.
- Support the generation of most of the Account Executive pipeline.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring at least 1 year of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, lead generation, or sales operations. A High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent credential is also acceptable in place of experience.
Preferred Background
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce.com or another CRM platform.
- Strong command of MS Office tools, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Clear verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal, organizational, and phone skills.
- Ability to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Strong judgment for evaluating business opportunities and reading situations accurately.
- Comfort using data to guide decisions and influence others.
- Ability to create effective strategies with close attention to detail and measurable results.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, startup-like environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base pay range for this role is USD 64,000 to 92,000. Final compensation may vary depending on skill set, experience depth, certifications, and work location. In addition to base pay, the total package may include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive plans.
