Role overview
Clio is hiring a Sales Development Representative for a fast-moving, high-growth environment. The right person will be comfortable working with new accounts across multiple segments, advising prospective customers on Clio’s Suite products, and building strong relationships through a thoughtful, organized, and adaptable approach.
About the team
The Sales Development Representative team plays a key role in generating interest in Clio’s offerings and creating qualified opportunities for the Account Executive organization. The team supports prospective customers, helps solve business challenges through practical insight, and contributes directly to revenue growth.
Key responsibilities
- Handle marketing-qualified leads across multiple customer segments.
- Qualify both cold and warm prospects effectively.
- Manage a daily calling volume of 50 to 70 calls.
- Work closely with Account Executives and support the sales pipeline.
- Generate product awareness, increase interest, and arrange product demonstrations.
- Develop a strong understanding of the assigned territory or segment and use that knowledge to uncover prospects and create leads.
- Build core sales capabilities through regular training and review cycles.
- Adapt to changing sales processes and evolving market needs.
- Learn customer practice areas, competitive advantages, and technical needs to clearly present Clio’s value.
- Prepare weekly qualitative and quantitative updates.
- Record all sales activity in Salesforce and consistently meet daily performance targets.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of sales experience, or equivalent transferable experience such as cold calling.
- Interest in and knowledge of technology and cloud-based products.
- Competitive drive and a strong desire to perform well.
- Mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement.
- Genuine interest in improving sales skills with the help of AI tools.
Preferred background
- Sales training or experience at a leading technology or IT company is considered an advantage.
- Prior experience in a SaaS environment is a bonus.
Compensation and benefits
The base pay for this position is 52,500 CAD. In addition, the expected new hire commission is 22,500 CAD, and commission earnings are uncapped, so there is potential to earn beyond the stated amount.
