Decopex Interiors is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Dubai office and support financial operations across its interior design, fit-out, and turnkey project business. This role is based on-site in Dubai, UAE, and calls for at least 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining reliable financial records, handling project-related accounting, ensuring adherence to UAE compliance requirements, and delivering financial analysis that helps leadership make informed decisions. Experience in interior fit-out, construction, contracting, engineering, or real estate will be especially valuable.

Core Responsibilities

In this position, you will manage routine accounting activities, monitor project costs, support compliance, and assist with reporting across the finance function.

Financial Management

  • Handle the full accounting cycle, including posting journals, maintaining ledgers, carrying out reconciliations, and completing month-end closure tasks.
  • Keep financial records accurate and aligned with accounting standards and internal company policies.
  • Draft monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements as well as management reports.
  • Track cash movement, business performance, and how budgets are being used.
  • Support planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities for management.
  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly and oversee company account activity.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Process vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and reimbursement claims.

  • Ensure financial documents and records are maintained properly for audit readiness.
  • Assist with both internal and external audit activities.
  • Keep current with UAE accounting laws, tax obligations, and compliance standards.

Payroll and Administrative Support

  • Assist with payroll processing and management of employee expense claims.
  • Maintain staff financial records related to salary, benefits, and reimbursements.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and government authorities whenever needed.
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis to the Finance Manager and senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent are considered an advantage.
