About the Organization

Starlit Ability Enhancement Services provides psychological support for children with special needs in Mumbai and nearby locations. The organization works with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, Down syndrome, and similar developmental concerns. Support is delivered in school settings as well as through one-to-one counselling at home, using structured intervention methods to improve behaviour, social interaction, academics, and other developmental goals. The company also offers strong hands-on learning for candidates interested in gaining practical experience with children facing developmental, behavioural, social communication, and attention-related challenges. It is recognized as an Innovative Startup under the Startup India Program of the Government of India.

Role Summary

This internship combines shadow teaching and psychological support work across school and home-based settings. The intern will assist children individually, apply intervention strategies, document progress, and coordinate with parents and senior psychologists to support developmental outcomes.

School-Based Support

• Work individually with children in school who have autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or related needs.
• Support development in behaviour, emotions, social skills, and academics through evidence-based techniques.
• Set and follow personalized goals while recording observations in a structured way.
• Share daily updates with parents about the child’s progress.
• Prepare monthly reports that capture developmental growth and changes.
• Receive intensive one-on-one induction training from experienced psychology mentors.

Home-Based Remedial Sessions

• Conduct self-planned one-to-one sessions at home focused on child development areas such as behaviour, remedial learning, sensory skills, social abilities, cognitive growth, emotions, and daily living skills.
• Develop rapport and trust with the child gradually and at a comfortable pace.
• Create and implement individualized intervention plans for emotional, behavioural, and developmental objectives.
• Work with senior psychologists for guidance, supervision, and reflective case discussion.
• Grow confidence in independently handling sessions with ongoing support from senior mentors.

Eligibility

This opportunity is for candidates who can commit to a full-time, in-office internship, can begin between 30 June 2026 and 4 August 2026, are available for 6 months, and have relevant skills and interest in the field.

Work Location

Pune is the primary location, and openings are also available in Thane, Navi Mumbai, and Mumbai.

Terms and Conditions
