About ASOS

ASOS is a global online fashion retailer serving style-conscious customers across the world. The company aims to help customers feel confident being themselves, and it encourages the same authenticity and creativity among its employees. ASOS also states that it is Disability Confident Committed and invites candidates to request reasonable adjustments during the hiring process if needed.

Role Overview

The Sourcing Partner will oversee the development and management of a responsive, competitive, and responsible supplier network for woven products across the brand. Working with Buying, Design, Fabric, Garment Technology, and Sustainability teams, this person will help make sure products arrive on schedule, meet quality expectations, hit target costs, and comply with ethical and sustainability requirements. The position is central to improving speed to market, increasing cost visibility, and strengthening supplier performance, with particular emphasis on woven construction, fabric selection, and manufacturing capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a clearly defined global supplier base for woven products, establishing strong partnerships, clear expectations, and accountability.
  • Evaluate, onboard, and offboard suppliers based on the business strategy and category requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Run regular supplier reviews, capacity planning activities, and risk assessments.
  • Take ownership of the initial costing process and ensure styles are submitted using an open costing approach.
  • Negotiate and challenge pricing while protecting quality and ethical standards.
  • Use market knowledge and benchmarking to support pricing discussions and longer-term cost improvement.
  • Assist with sourcing fabric and trims, balancing quality, innovation, lead times, and price.
  • Lead initiatives that improve speed to market, including Test & React and nearshore sourcing where appropriate.
  • Find opportunities to increase efficiency and shorten lead times.
  • Work closely with responsible sourcing teams to deliver ethical, environmental, and traceability goals.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with audit requirements, standards, and minimum make expectations.
  • Support the use of preferred materials, certifications, and ongoing supplier improvement.
  • Promote an inclusive culture by supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.

Working Pattern

ASOS says it believes in working together in person to move faster, collaborate more effectively, and learn from one another. The role requires at least three days per week in the office.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in sourcing, production, or supply chain roles within fashion retail. Experience with woven products is preferred. You should have worked with offshore suppliers and managed production across several regions. Strong commercial awareness, confident negotiation skills, and costing experience are important, along with excellent organisation, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You should also be comfortable influencing stakeholders across Buying, Design, Fabric, and Technical teams, and willing to travel when needed.

Benefits

  • Staff discount, including the ASOS discount.
  • Access to employee sample sales.
  • 25 days of paid annual leave plus one additional celebration day for a special occasion.
  • A discretionary bonus plan.
  • Private medical cover.
  • Flexible benefits allowance, which can be taken as extra cash or directed toward other benefits.
  • Personalised learning opportunities and practical experiences designed to help you grow in the role.
