Job overview
This role is part of a recruitment campaign planned in India for the later part of 2026. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be invited to attend an in-person interview. Walk-in interviews will not be considered.
Role purpose
The Valve Supervisor will lead valve repair operations and the workshop maintenance crew that supports readiness for operations, commissioning, and start-up. The position covers all valve and Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) repair work carried out in the workshop for onshore, offshore, onsite, and offsite facilities, with a strong focus on safety, quality, integrity, and reliability. The goal is to help achieve the required operating reliability targets for Operations Expansion & Start Up (OES) and Offshore Expansion, Sustainability & Start-Up (OESS) activities.
Key responsibilities
- Direct valve and PRV repair work in the valve workshop, making sure people, equipment, and time are used efficiently while maintaining safe work practices.
- Ensure all repair activities follow the relevant international standards, codes, and company specifications.
- Compile PRV test records and keep them filed according to company requirements.
- Monitor repair progress so that valve and PRV work stays on the planned biweekly timeline.
- Coordinate repair activities during routine operations as well as shutdown periods, ensuring strong standards for quality and safety.
- Oversee the upkeep and periodic testing of valve and PRV test benches so they remain compliant with company inspection standards.
- Make sure air compressors and nitrogen cylinders are stored and handled in line with company procedures.
- Lead toolbox talks and complete job safety analyses for all assigned tasks.
- Control the use of spare parts and consumables carefully, avoiding waste and returning any unused material to the warehouse with the required paperwork.
- Confirm that valve calibration test benches are calibrated and third-party certified in accordance with company procedures.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in valve repair within the oil and gas or petrochemical sector.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and general computer use.
- Ability to conduct toolbox talks and identify workplace hazards.
- Familiarity with American Petroleum Institute (API) codes.
