About the role
This is a full-time Auckland-based position for either a 3rd or 4th year apprentice plumber or a fully qualified plumber. The role involves a wide mix of residential and commercial work, including maintenance, renovations, new construction, commercial fit-outs, and emergency call-outs.
Key duties
- Fit, service, maintain, and repair plumbing systems.
- Work on water supply, waste, and drainage piping.
- Identify plumbing faults such as leaks and blockages, then carry out repairs.
- Install and maintain hot water systems.
- Support renovation, upgrade, and new build projects.
- Observe health and safety requirements and keep the work area tidy and well organised.
- Prepare and complete job records accurately.
- Deliver professional, approachable customer service while representing the company.
Working style
Apprentice plumbers will be paired with experienced tradespeople while building their practical capability and progressing through their apprenticeship. Qualified plumbers will have the chance to work more independently, assist apprentices, and contribute to the wider team.
Essential requirements
- You must be in your 3rd or 4th year of a plumbing apprenticeship, or be a fully qualified plumber in New Zealand.
- You should bring solid plumbing knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and installation work is required.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities are important.
- A clear commitment to health and safety is essential.
- You need to be comfortable working both on your own and within a team.
- A full New Zealand driver licence is required.
- You must be dependable, punctual, and focused on quality workmanship.
