Description de l'emploi
Role Overview
Meril is hiring a highly analytical and research-oriented Surgical Algorithm Engineer to create the mathematical and biomechanical logic that powers advanced surgical navigation solutions. The position is focused on developing the core algorithms behind next-generation medical technology.
Core Focus Areas
This role brings together several technical domains, including biomechanics, computational geometry, medical robotics, surgical navigation, and real-time mathematical modelling.
Key Technical Strengths
The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of linear algebra and 3D geometry, coordinate transformation and rotation systems, robust estimation methods such as RANSAC, and biomechanical principles related to orthopaedic alignment. Hands-on ability in Java, Python, C++, or MATLAB is also important, along with experience building algorithms for medical devices or robotics.
Preferred Academic Background
Strong candidates are expected to hold a Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, CAOS, or a closely related field.
Added Advantage
Experience with surgical navigation platforms, robotic surgery workflows, OpenCV, ArUco-based tracking, orthopaedic biomechanics, or software development for medical devices in line with IEC 62304 will be considered a major plus.
