Role overview
Ashvira Fashions is hiring an Area Sales Manager to help scale sales for its core home furnishing products, including curtains, sofa covers, and bedsheets. The role is centered on growing the business in the Gujarat market by widening distribution, managing important customer relationships, and driving profitable territory performance.
This position reports to the Regional or National Sales Head and is based in Mumbai, with a pan-India / Mumbai location mention in the source and frequent travel within Gujarat as required. The role sits within the home furnishings and textiles space, with a strong focus on curtains and related products.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute sales plans for the assigned territory with a focus on curtain sales.
- Bring in new distributors, dealers, and sub-dealers across Gujarat to strengthen retail reach.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals while managing the region’s P&L.
- Build and sustain relationships with key accounts, address customer issues, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Track market movements, competitor activity, and customer preferences to refine the sales approach.
- Design, run, and monitor promotional and brand-building initiatives in the territory.
- Prepare reliable forecasts, maintain sales reporting, and ensure collections are completed on time.
- Guide, inspire, and manage a team of sales executives to meet and exceed targets.
- Work closely with marketing, production, and operations teams to support smooth order execution and post-sale service.
- Share regular updates with leadership on product performance, channel issues, and market intelligence.
Requirements
- A graduate degree is required; an MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred but not compulsory.
- Between 4 and 9 years of sales experience in curtains, sofa covers, bedsheets, or a related textile segment.
- Strong familiarity with, and a business network in, the Mumbai market.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing multiple retail or channel-led business models.
- Strong abilities in negotiation, presentations, and verbal and written communication.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, sales analysis, and reporting tools.
- Self-driven, energetic, and focused on outcomes.
- Prepared to travel within Gujarat whenever the role requires it.
Compensation
The expected pay is 5 LPA and above, with final compensation aligned to industry standards, qualifications, and relevant experience.
