Role overview
This position sits within the Customer Lifecycle Marketing stream at MakeMyTrip and reports to the Senior Manager - CLM. The role is based in Gurugram and focuses on using CRM-led marketing to improve the customer journey and drive business growth.
About the team
The marketing organization is responsible for strengthening brand visibility, acquiring customers, and increasing engagement across channels. The Customer Lifecycle Marketing team specifically manages the full journey from onboarding through engagement, retention, and loyalty, using data-led and personalized interventions to improve customer lifetime value.
Key responsibilities
The role is centered on lifecycle marketing execution across multiple stages of the customer journey, including onboarding, engagement, retention, cross-sell, and upsell. The objective is to increase customer lifetime value through well-targeted CRM initiatives.
- Plan, build, and run campaigns that improve engagement, retention, and loyalty within the assigned customer segment.
- Use Excel, SQL, and similar analytical tools to study customer behavior, preferences, and trends, then translate findings into growth opportunities.
- Develop and maintain segmentation and targeting approaches to strengthen personalization across the customer journey.
- Streamline customer journeys by lowering effort, reducing unnecessary touchpoints, and improving communication efficiency through automation and other CLM tools.
- Lead lifecycle initiatives from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time and coordination across teams.
Qualification and experience
The preferred candidate should hold an MBA from a reputed institute and bring 1 to 2 years of hands-on marketing experience in app-first, consumer-facing digital businesses, ideally with exposure to lifecycle management or growth marketing.
Practical experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics, along with CRM platforms like MoEngage, CleverTap, or WebEngage, is expected.
Success factors
Strong customer empathy, solid analytical thinking, and disciplined execution are key to succeeding in this role. The position also calls for effective project management and the ability to coordinate smoothly with stakeholders.
