Assistant Operator - Finishing Machine

Role Overview

This position is for an Assistant Operator working on finishing machinery in a production environment. The role involves setting up, running, and monitoring multiple types of finishing equipment to ensure output meets required specifications and quality standards.

Machine Setup and Operation

You will prepare and operate a range of finishing machines, including Kolbus perfect binders, Muller Martini saddle stitchers, folding machines, sewing machines, Wholemberg gathering machines, and cutting machines. The job also includes configuring automatic die-cutting, foiling, embossing, Brausee folder gluer equipment, and Champion bag fabrication machines according to the job requirements and the material being processed.

Quality and Output Monitoring

Part of the role is to keep a close watch on production output to confirm binding strength, stitching accuracy, fold precision, and cutting alignment. You will also perform visual inspections and manual checks to make sure finished items comply with the required quality standards.

Maintenance and Issue Reporting

The position requires routine cleaning of equipment and adherence to the preventive maintenance plan. If any mechanical fault, machine misfeed, or similar issue arises, it must be reported promptly to the foreman or maintenance team for follow-up.
