Role Overview

This position focuses on keeping the store clean, orderly, and ready for customers, with special attention to floor care. The role also involves supporting store operations in different areas as needed to help the business run smoothly.

Key Duties

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the store, especially on floors and common areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Ensure the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms remain organized and well maintained.
• Restock essential supplies in the lounge, restrooms, and front end in line with health and safety expectations.
• Follow merchandising presentation and signage standards consistently.
• Assist with store recovery activities during the day as needed.
• Support front-end coverage and cross-functional store needs, including backroom and sales floor tasks.
• Follow operational controls and loss prevention procedures to help reduce shrink.
• Communicate clearly and accurately with supervisors and fellow associates.
• Observe labor rules, including meal and break period requirements.
• Contribute to safety awareness and help maintain a secure work environment.
• Complete additional duties assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings strong customer service habits, good organization, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly. Physical stamina is important, along with the ability to handle heavy lifting when needed. A retail background is preferred, but not required.

The role is located at 5025 Highway 280s Suite 103, USA TJ Maxx Store 0466, Hoover, AL. The starting hourly pay range is $12.75 to $13.25, and the actual offer depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Candidates with arrest or conviction records will also be considered.
