Description de l'emploi
Company Overview
TRIBE Auckland Fort Street is a contemporary hotel in central Auckland that blends style, comfort, practicality, and value. The property is located in Auckland’s CBD and is seeking a Commis Chef to join its kitchen team.
About TRIBE
TRIBE is part of the Accor family and represents a global community of design-focused hospitality professionals. The brand is built around beautiful, social, and smart hotel experiences, with well-designed rooms, inviting communal spaces, and a people-first culture.
Role Summary
In this role, you will help deliver TRIBE’s food concept by supporting the kitchen team with preparation, plating, and day-to-day service. The position suits someone who takes pride in flavour, presentation, and consistency, and who enjoys working in a lively, design-led environment.
You will contribute across prep, service, stock handling, and support for the wider kitchen operation while continuing to build your culinary capability.
What the Role Involves
The work is focused on producing appealing dishes to a high standard, maintaining an efficient workflow, and helping the kitchen run smoothly in a fast-moving setting. You will be expected to learn from senior chefs and contribute positively to a collaborative team atmosphere.
Candidate Profile
- A genuine interest in creating a strong guest dining experience
- Prior experience in a kitchen, or current study in culinary arts
- Willingness to learn, improve, and follow guidance from senior culinary staff
- Ability to stay effective in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- A positive, team-oriented approach that fits TRIBE’s modern and stylish culture
- Availability for varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Additional Information
This role offers the opportunity to join a brand-new hotel and be part of a global hospitality brand with strong local identity. Team members receive Accor benefits, including discounted stays around the world, an anniversary night stay with breakfast and dinner included, and additional brand perks. A staff meal is provided during shifts. The workplace is described as a creative, collaborative environment rather than a traditional corporate structure.
Application Note
If the role matches your skills and interests, the team would like to hear from you and welcome you into TRIBE.
