Construction Worker

Overview

Duron Atlantic Limited is hiring a construction worker for site-based work in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. This role involves supporting a range of construction activities at the physical work location, with no remote option available.

No degree, certificate, or diploma is needed.

Experience

Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Work Location

This position is fully on site. Work must be performed at the physical location and cannot be done remotely.

Work Site Environment

The job is carried out outdoors.

Responsibilities

The position includes general labour and support duties across construction projects.

• Move, load, unload, and carry construction materials.
• Help with framing houses, putting up walls, and constructing roofs.
• Assist with building demolition work.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks.

Credentials

The following certifications, licences, or courses are expected:

• WHMIS certification.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.

Construction Specialization

Experience related to the following construction areas is included:

• Industrial, commercial, and institutional projects.
• Road and bridge work.

Additional Information

Transportation requirement: the candidate must have their own transportation.

Work conditions and physical demands include physically demanding tasks, repetitive movements, and a need for strong attention to detail.

Weight handling requirement: must be able to lift and handle loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
