Role overview

Core duties

• Work out portion sizes and the associated food costs.
• Create menus and estimate the quantities of ingredients and supplies needed.
• Request food items and kitchen materials as needed.
• Cook full meals as well as individual dishes and menu items.
• Prepare meals suitable for guests with allergies or food intolerances.
• Review kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and readiness.
• Place orders for supplies and equipment.
• Track stock levels and maintain records for food, supplies, and equipment.
• Keep kitchen and work areas clean and orderly.
• Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations.
