Aaratech Inc. is hiring a Data Analyst focused on insurance operations. This is a full-time position based in the Greater Chicago Area.

What you will do

• Gather insurance-related data from different sources, then clean, organize, and analyze it for use in business reporting.
• Create dashboards and reports that track claims, policies, and key business metrics.
• Spot patterns and trends in the data and translate them into recommendations that improve efficiency and risk handling.
• Work closely with business, finance, underwriting, and IT teams to support informed decision-making.
• Maintain a high standard of data quality, consistency, and reporting accuracy.
• Share findings and recommendations with stakeholders in a clear and structured way.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a similar discipline.
• Two to three years of experience in a data analyst role, ideally within insurance or financial services.
• Hands-on ability with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization platforms.
• Prior exposure to insurance, claims, or policy-related information is preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving ability.

Preferred technical strengths

• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools.
• Understanding of insurance analytics, claims reporting, and risk analysis.
• Basic working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Comfort working with SQL databases and reporting systems.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate are considered an advantage.

Additional information

Compensation for this position is listed at USD 65,000 to USD 70,000 per year. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
