Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site position in Lusaka Province, Zambia. The Data Reporting Analyst will collect, verify, and study operational, sales, and inventory information from several internal platforms. The role includes building, updating, and automating reports and dashboards that guide decisions for sales, distribution, and key account management teams. The analyst will also spot trends, compare results against expectations, and present clear insights that support management decisions and business planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyze data related to operations, sales, and inventory from internal systems.
- Develop, maintain, and automate recurring reports and dashboards for business users.
- Identify patterns, performance gaps, and key trends that can inform decisions.
- Translate data findings into practical, easy-to-understand recommendations for management.
- Work with teams across the business to understand reporting needs and improve data quality.
- Support planning and forecasting through timely analysis and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical ability to examine complex datasets and turn results into useful business insights.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar spreadsheet and BI platforms.
- Ability to gather, clean, check, and organize data so reporting remains accurate and consistent.
- Clear communication skills for preparing reports and sharing findings with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business, or a related subject, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Prior exposure to FMCG, distribution, or supply chain data will be considered an advantage.
- High attention to detail, strong organization, and a structured approach to solving problems.
- Comfortable working on-site in a busy, target-driven setting and meeting deadlines for regular and ad hoc reporting tasks.
Work Environment
This position is based on site and requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders in a fast-moving business environment.
