Distribution Center Supervisor

Role overview

This position calls for a practical warehouse leader who can oversee everyday distribution center activities, keep inventory under control, and make sure orders move out accurately and on time. The role is focused on safe handling of materials, smooth warehouse flow, strong compliance, and ongoing operational improvements.

Core duties

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse functions such as receiving, put-away, issuing materials, and dispatching shipments.
• Lead loading and unloading activities and coordinate carrier schedules across truckload, LTL, container, and small-parcel movements.
• Accelerate order execution and coordinate inbound freight so production is not disrupted and customer service remains strong.
• Work closely with sales order processing, material planners, and inventory teams to keep operations aligned.
• Maintain accurate physical stock records and proper bin and location management.
• Carry out cycle counts and assist with monthly inventory reports.
• Audit inbound and outbound shipments and verify purchase order matching through a 3-way match process.
• Track stock levels and identify slow-moving, aged, or obsolete materials for action.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and productivity.
• Keep the warehouse clean, well-organized, and safe in line with company standards, including 5S practices.
• Support quality management system procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
• Resolve operational challenges related to scheduling, batch allocation, and staffing shortages.

Requirements

• A diploma or equivalent qualification may be accepted; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
• Certification in warehouse or supply chain operations is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and supply chain workflows.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage people effectively.
• Strong sense of accountability, discipline, and teamwork.
• Clear communication and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Safety-conscious with a strong compliance mindset.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Analytical approach with reporting capability.
• Proficiency in MS Office and warehouse or data systems.

The role is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and reports to the Warehouse Manager.
