Description de l'emploi

About the role

This position sits within Mentimeter, a platform designed to turn presentations into two-way conversations through live interaction and clear visual feedback. The company’s aim is to help people participate more actively, stay engaged, and get more out of meetings, classrooms, and training sessions.

As an Enterprise Sales Development Representative, you will help create new business by identifying qualified opportunities, building ARR, and supporting both outbound and inbound demand generation. A key part of the role is developing strong prospects and handing qualified opportunities over to Account Executives and Relationship Managers. You will also gain practical exposure to the core fundamentals of SaaS sales.

The business is looking for someone with strong energy, a commercial mindset, and a genuine drive to spot and develop sales opportunities. The role requires someone who can build relationships with major global companies and move them from active users into enterprise customers. Mentimeter is growing rapidly, with sales increasing by more than 10% each month, and this position will play an important part in supporting that momentum.

The company values people who want to grow quickly and help shape Mentimeter into a market-leading business. This is a chance to contribute as part of a team focused on ambitious growth and long-term impact.

Responsibilities

  • Use multiple outreach methods, including calls, email, and social platforms, to connect with prospects and create new sales conversations.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Relationship Managers to map target accounts and coordinate outreach campaigns.
  • Assess prospect needs, qualify opportunities, and communicate the product’s value clearly.
  • Transfer qualified inbound and outbound leads to the relevant sales owners.
  • Keep CRM records complete, accurate, and current for all sales activity and customer touchpoints.
  • Engage with organisations across a wide range of industries in the APAC region.
  • Look for ways to improve sales processes, analysis, and outbound/inbound tactics.

What will help you succeed

  • Some experience or capability in evaluating business opportunities using data to support decisions.
  • An entrepreneurial approach and the motivation to help build the company alongside the wider team.
  • Strong ambition and a results-focused attitude.
  • A flexible mindset and openness to adapting to new ways of working.
  • Professional-level English, as the business sells to customers across more than 150 countries.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Sydney three days per week under the hybrid working model.

Nice to have

  • At least 6 months of experience in an SDR role.
  • Background in customer support.
  • Experience selling SaaS products or solutions.
  • Ability to speak more than one language.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree, in any field.

Compensation model

This sales role uses a fixed, non-commission-based pay structure. The company believes collaboration and shared success matter across teams, and this approach is part of how it supports that culture.

Support and growth opportunities

Employees have access to strong internal tools and support, including CRM and analytics platforms such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Looker, Google Analytics, and Intercom. The role is also backed by marketing and sales teams, product-led sales support, and a large global customer base.

Mentimeter offers a diverse and inclusive workplace, continuous professional development, access to a leadership program with an external personal coach, and relevant education to support ongoing learning. The company also emphasises a healthy work-life balance and provides a competitive compensation and benefits package, including pension contributions.

AI and recruitment

AI may be used internally to support organisation and preparation, but it is not used to screen, rank, or decide on candidates. Every application is reviewed by a person, and the recruitment process remains human-led.

Culture and inclusion

Mentimeter is built around giving everyone a voice and creating an environment where people feel safe, differences are respected, and work can be enjoyable. The company especially welcomes applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, including people of colour, LGBTQ+ candidates, women, people with disabilities, and formerly incarcerated people. A college degree is not mandatory.
