Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position in Sharjah calls for an Entomologist to support pest management activities through insect identification, infestation assessment, and treatment planning. The role includes field inspections, sample collection and analysis, and advising on integrated pest management programs suited to different facility types. You will work closely with pest control technicians, prepare technical documentation, keep detailed records, and help ensure work is aligned with local regulations and safety requirements. A further part of the job is assisting in staff training on insect biology, safe use of control methods, and preventive monitoring practices.

Key Duties

• Identify insect species and evaluate the extent of infestations at client sites.
• Recommend practical treatment approaches and preventive control measures.
• Carry out site visits, inspections, and monitoring across multiple facility types.
• Collect, handle, and analyze samples in support of pest control decisions.
• Develop or support integrated pest management plans tailored to the site.
• Coordinate with pest control technicians to ensure smooth execution of field work.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate records of findings and actions taken.
• Support compliance with local safety, health, and environmental rules.
• Help train operational staff on pest biology, safe handling practices, and monitoring best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Solid understanding of entomology and zoology, including the life cycles and behavior of common structural and public health pests.
• Practical experience with pest control and integrated pest management, covering inspection, monitoring, treatment design, and prevention.
• Basic laboratory skills for sample collection, preparation, analysis, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Entomology, Zoology, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Additional certifications in pest management will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of local health, safety, and environmental regulations connected to pest control and chemical handling.
• Strong observation, analysis, and problem-solving abilities with careful attention to detail.
• Good written and spoken communication skills, including report writing and staff training.
• Comfort working on-site in varied facility settings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
