Role Overview
The company is looking for an accomplished Event Manager to lead the planning and delivery of festivals, activations, and other large-scale events. This position plays a central role in logistics, staffing, vendor management, client communication, and sponsor coordination, making it well suited to someone who can thrive in a fast-moving production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end event production for festivals, concerts, and large activations, keeping each phase on track from planning through closeout.
- Act as the main contact for sponsors and event partners so their activation needs and agreed deliverables are fully delivered.
- Coordinate sponsor activation planning in advance and make sure every requirement is accounted for and executed properly.
- Support the acquisition and management of sponsorships while maintaining strong partner relationships and deliverable tracking.
- Work with permitting bodies and local officials to obtain required approvals and stay aligned with applicable regulations.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, clients, and vendors to manage event timelines, logistics, and deliverables.
- Create, monitor, and follow event budgets while keeping spend efficient and under control.
- Maintain inventory and warehouse organization so equipment and materials are tracked, stored correctly, and kept ready for use.
- Source, negotiate with, and oversee vendors to secure dependable service and competitive pricing.
- Hire, schedule, and supervise event staff to ensure proper coverage and strong on-site delivery.
- Manage operational logistics such as transport, load-in/load-out, setup, and day-of event operations.
- Build and improve operational workflows that make event execution more efficient.
- Spot event risks early and apply mitigation plans that support safety and industry compliance.
- Develop trusted client relationships and work to ensure expectations are consistently met.
- Contribute to event proposals by outlining logistics, budgets, and practical creative solutions for prospective clients.
- Review completed events, collect client input, and identify improvements for future productions.
Requirements
- Solid prior experience in event management, especially with large festivals and concerts.
- Background in sponsor and partner management, including advancing activations and meeting contractual obligations.
- Working knowledge of permitting workflows and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience recruiting, scheduling, and overseeing event staff.
- Strong planning and multitasking abilities with the capacity to handle several projects at once.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work smoothly with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Comfort with solving problems and adapting quickly in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
- Availability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on event needs.
- Willingness to travel for events, including travel outside the state when necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
The posted salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
