Description de l'emploi
Role overview
6abc/WPVI-TV, the ABC/Disney-owned station in Philadelphia, is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the President and General Manager. The station is part of Disney Entertainment’s eight-station owned television group. As Philadelphia’s top-rated station for more than 45 years, 6abc is home to Action News and provides local news, traffic, weather, and information to more than 3 million households. Its coverage area reaches nearly 7 million residents across Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware.
This role partners closely with the President and General Manager and is expected to represent both the leader and the station in a polished, positive, and professional way. The right person will be collaborative, dependable, proactive, and comfortable supporting priorities across the organization.
What you will handle
- Serve as the main administrative contact for the President, while also stepping in to support other station leaders when needed.
- Manage day-to-day admin work such as phone screening, meeting scheduling, calendar coordination, and expense report preparation and processing.
- Take care of general office support tasks including mail distribution, filing, copying, scanning, document tracking, and word processing.
- Coordinate business travel end to end, including itineraries, logistics, meeting arrangements, and remote assistance.
- Draft and prepare confidential communications, memos, letters, updates, meeting notes, slide presentations in PowerPoint or Keynote, and detailed reports.
- Help compile budget books and financial presentation materials as needed.
- Collect and organize data in Excel for reporting purposes.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, executives, and business units across WPVI and ABC OTV, both in writing and verbally.
- Work as part of the administrative team by covering for other assistants and sharing responsibility for common office tasks.
What we are looking for
- At least 2 years of administrative experience supporting an executive at VP level or above.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent people skills, with the ability to stay organized, take initiative, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and remain flexible and resourceful while protecting confidentiality.
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients across all levels, inside and outside the company.
- Strong attention to detail along with proven organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Sound judgment and the ability to complete tasks independently without constant supervision.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working independently as well as within a team-based environment.
- Enthusiasm, adaptability, creativity, and a willingness to take on new challenges and added responsibility.
- Ability to quickly learn internal tools and systems for expenses, travel bookings, invoices, and conference room reservations, and to build connections with colleagues who can help answer questions.
Preferred background
- 4 or more years of experience supporting a senior executive in the entertainment industry is preferred.
Education
A bachelor’s degree is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
