Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position in Doha, Qatar. The General Manager will be accountable for the smooth running of daily operations and the overall business performance of Salah Bin Ahmad Computer Consultancy. The role involves leading teams across functions, setting operational and financial targets, and ensuring that managed IT and consulting services are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Duties
- Lead the development and delivery of business strategy to support growth and operational success.
- Oversee cross-functional teams and hold department heads accountable for results.
- Track operational performance and financial outcomes against set targets.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients and act as a senior point of contact.
- Identify and pursue market opportunities in cybersecurity, cloud services, and digital transformation.
- Monitor project execution and ensure service delivery meets timelines and expectations.
- Allocate resources effectively to improve productivity and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality benchmarks, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare budgets, reports, and performance updates for management review.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and support team development through coaching and mentoring.
- Encourage a collaborative, client-oriented workplace culture.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong leadership background with experience managing cross-functional teams, setting priorities, and driving accountability in an IT services or consulting setting.
- Solid business management expertise, including strategic planning, budgeting, financial control, and performance review.
- Hands-on exposure to IT services areas such as managed services, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, and digital transformation.
- Excellent skills in client management, negotiation, and communication with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to oversee operations, improve processes, manage projects, plan resources, and maintain service standards.
- Capability to shape and execute sales and business development plans that expand revenue and the client base.
- Strong judgment, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and risk management skills in a fast-paced technology environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a master’s degree such as an MBA is considered an added advantage.
- Prior senior management experience in IT services, consulting, or a closely related industry, preferably within the GCC region.
