Role overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic graduate-level Data Engineer to join a fast-growing Data & Analytics function. The opportunity is well-suited to recent graduates who are keen on data, technology, and designing scalable data solutions.
In this position, you will partner with experienced data specialists to build, support, and improve data pipelines that power business intelligence, analytics, and reporting. You will gain practical experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms and high-volume data processing systems.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Assist with bringing data together from different sources into centralized platforms.
- Track data quality and investigate issues affecting datasets or pipelines.
- Work with both structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Engineering teams.
- Support database upkeep, tuning, and performance checks.
- Contribute to data warehouse development efforts.
- Prepare and update technical documentation.
- Follow data security, privacy, and governance practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Foundational understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Some familiarity with Python or another programming language.
- Working knowledge of data structures and ETL fundamentals.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Clear communication and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to learn modern data tools and cloud technologies.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is an advantage.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Understanding of data warehousing principles is desirable.
- Academic or personal projects related to data engineering or analytics are beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of Git and version control is preferred.
