Head Kitchen Porter

Role overview

Grand Hotel Malahide, part of FBD Hotels & Resorts, is hiring a Head Kitchen Porter to support and guide the kitchen porter team in a busy four-star hotel kitchen. The role focuses on keeping kitchen areas clean, safe, and organised while working closely with the Head Chef and wider culinary team.

Main duties

• Keep all kitchen spaces operating at a high standard of hygiene and ensure compliance with hotel procedures as well as health and safety rules.
• Follow the cleaning programme and complete the daily and weekly checklists for all assigned tasks.
• Wash and store pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment correctly.
• Carry out thorough deep-cleaning work in kitchen areas, including equipment and storage spaces, whenever required.
• Handle stock movement, rotation, and incoming deliveries.

Candidate profile

The hotel is looking for someone who is energetic, self-motivated, and willing to work hard, with a strong focus on quality, high standards, service, and guest care. Experience in a similar position is preferred.

Working conditions

Applicants must be available for fully flexible working hours. Because some shifts may fall outside normal train and bus times, candidates should be able to travel to and from Malahide without depending on public transport.
