An opportunity is available for a Horticulturalist to join a team responsible for maintaining the grounds at Crown Perth in Perth, Western Australia. This is a permanent full-time role suited to someone who enjoys hands-on horticultural work in a landmark parkland setting and wants to contribute to the presentation and upkeep of a highly visible location.

The position offers long-term stability, ongoing learning, and the chance to work within a supportive and close team environment. Standard hours run from Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime available if required.

Key duties

• Carry out weed and pest management using spraying methods and manual removal.
• Complete horticultural tasks such as formative pruning and hedging for trees and shrubs.
• Apply mulching and planting programs as required.
• Operate commercial small-plant horticultural tools and equipment.
• Record assets through technology during scheduled maintenance visits.
• Maintain sites so they are kept to a consistently high presentation standard.
• Follow occupational health and safety procedures at all times.

About you

• You hold a Certificate II or Certificate III in Horticulture, which is essential.
• You have a current driver’s licence.
• You have practical experience using mowers and other small plant equipment.
• You are capable of delivering work to a high standard.
• You understand and are committed to quality, health, safety, and environment systems.
