Little Explorers Nursery in Knighton, part of Grandir UK, is looking for a cleaner to help maintain a spotless, safe, and hygienic environment across the nursery. The salary is £26,437 FTE, depending on experience and qualifications, with regular pay reviews.
This is a child-focused setting that offers a supportive atmosphere, flexible working, strong benefits, and opportunities to progress within the organisation.
Why This Nursery Stands Out
You will be joining a friendly team that places real value on respect, support, and development. The workplace is designed to feel positive and welcoming, with a strong sense of teamwork and care for one another.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the children’s and staff washrooms clean and hygienic each day.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas throughout the nursery.
- Sweep and mop the hard flooring surfaces.
- Remove waste from all general rubbish bins.

Nursery Environment
The nursery has recently been refreshed and features bright, modern spaces that are designed to support comfort, curiosity, and learning.
- Sweet Peas for babies and younger toddlers: a cosy area for rest, sensory exploration, and early discovery, with an integrated changing space.
- Daisies and Preschool: an open-plan room that supports creativity, independence, and school readiness through both adult-led and child-led activities.
Children transition between rooms according to their individual readiness, supporting a child-centred approach.
Learning, Family, and Community
The setting follows an early years curriculum that promotes creativity, independence, communication, physical development, problem-solving, and understanding of the world. Bespoke programmes such as Make & Bake, Innovate & Investigate, and Health & Self are also used to build confidence and help prepare children for school.
The team works closely with families through regular updates on the Grandir UK app, plus seasonal events, celebrations, and Stay and Play sessions that keep parents involved in nursery life. Outdoor learning is encouraged through lawned play areas, a sandpit, loose-parts resources, and gardening activities. Children also take part in Sing and Sign, creative and sensory experiences, and community outings such as trips to local shops to support learning about healthy living and the wider world.
