Wirbelwind Marketing LTD operates V-Szameitat beach homes, a holiday property in Diani Beach on Kenya’s South Coast. The setting is calm and scenic, giving guests a relaxed place to stay near the ocean.
The property has three two-bedroom houses and two studio units arranged within one compound. It also features a swimming pool, contributing to a comfortable and leisure-friendly guest experience.
Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site housekeeping position based in Diani Beach, South Coast, Kenya. The role is focused on keeping guest rooms, studios, and shared spaces clean, tidy, and presented to a high standard.
Key Duties
- Clean and prepare guest rooms, studio units, and shared areas to maintain excellent hygiene and presentation.
- Make beds, dust surfaces, mop floors, vacuum areas, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and kitchens.
- Handle laundry tasks, including collecting, washing, drying, ironing, and storing items properly.
- Restock essentials such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning supplies when needed.
- Flag maintenance problems or safety concerns quickly so they can be addressed.
- Deal with guests politely, respond to simple requests, and support the team in creating a pleasant stay.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Hands-on ability to carry out housekeeping work, including cleaning, laundry, and keeping guest areas orderly.
- Good organizational ability to manage several rooms and tasks efficiently.
- Clear communication skills for working with teammates and speaking respectfully with guests.
- Customer service approach that helps maintain a positive visitor experience.
- Readiness to learn and follow established cleaning and safety procedures.
- Previous work in housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar environment is beneficial.
- Dependability, close attention to detail, and the stamina to remain on your feet for long periods.
- Basic awareness of hygiene, health, and safety practices in hospitality settings.
