Role overview
We are seeking a Human Resource Executive to support a broad range of people operations for office employees. This role covers end-to-end hiring, employee lifecycle administration, HR reporting, engagement activities, and employer branding work.
Recruitment and workforce coordination
- Work with department heads and hiring managers to understand manpower needs and carry out the full recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to interviews and onboarding.
- Keep job descriptions current so they reflect changes in responsibilities and role expectations.
- Ensure employee records are accurate and updated, with all employee movement documentation completed on time.
- Handle the renewal and cancellation of work passes for non-Singaporean employees in line with local regulations.
HR operations and office support
- Act as the main contact for HR queries and provide timely, accurate guidance based on company policies.
- Assist with leave and benefits administration, leave migration exercises, and performance management coordination.
- Oversee renewals for corporate passes and third-party vendor-related matters.
- Partner with educational institutions to manage the internship programme.
- Support and improve the buddy programme to strengthen onboarding and retention.
- Take on other ad-hoc projects, activities, and event-related tasks as needed.
Reporting and compliance
- Prepare and submit HR reports on time, including headcount updates, organisation charts, HR trackers, leave records, and birthday/confirmation reports.
- Manage submissions for MOM surveys and other required regulatory reports.
- Maintain the Group HQ staff directory on a monthly basis.
- Keep up to date with HR best practices, employment legislation, and regulatory obligations to support compliance and reduce risk.
Employee engagement and employer branding
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives, festive events, wellness activities, and internal celebrations that help build a positive and inclusive culture.
- Develop and manage social media content that showcases the company culture and supports employer branding efforts.
- Contribute ideas and help drive initiatives that improve team spirit and the overall employee experience.
Candidate profile
This position suits someone with a Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, and at least 2 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in recruitment. Experience in retail will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate should understand Singapore employment laws and fair employment practices, be organized and meticulous, and be comfortable working independently as well as in a team. Strong communication, interpersonal, numerical, and Excel skills are important, along with the ability to interview effectively, manage coordination tasks, handle counselling and grievance matters, follow up diligently, multitask in a fast-paced setting, and work with a digital mindset.
