Overview
Join Leipzig/Halle Airport and be part of a large aviation and logistics environment that connects passengers and cargo across Europe, Africa, and Asia. The airport group operates at Leipzig/Halle and Dresden, handles more than three million passengers each year, and moves around 1.4 million tonnes of freight annually. Role summary
This permanent full-time position is focused on operating and developing the data center and enterprise IT landscape, including server, cloud, storage, backup, and security environments.
Key duties
- Manage and administer IT platforms such as Windows, Linux, VMware, storage, and backup solutions.
- Design, deploy, and support Windows server and client environments as well as cloud services such as M365 Cloud, Azure, and AWS.
- Investigate hardware and software issues, then initiate corrective actions to resolve them.
- Prepare maintenance activities and monitor their execution.
- Carry out system assessments, support investment planning, and contribute to IT projects.
- Review and settle service charges, and develop operating documents, internal guidelines, and work instructions.
Profile
- A completed degree in computer science or business informatics, or an equivalent qualification with several years of relevant professional experience.
- Solid expertise in cloud administration and in building stable, secure cloud architectures.
- Experience migrating on-premise solutions to cloud providers.
- Strong knowledge of storage and backup systems, as well as firewall and security technologies.
- A communicative, dependable, and professional manner.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to provide informed technical advice.
