Junior Rigger

Role overview

Encore is hiring a Junior Rigger for its Dubai location. The position focuses on hands-on support for event and production equipment, including preparation, installation, operation, maintenance, and safe de-rigging on site.

What you will do

• Prepare equipment before each assignment by cleaning, checking, testing, maintaining, and repairing it as needed.
• Keep equipment running during shows by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs when required.
• Assemble and install equipment on site independently, following the planned layout.
• Operate systems and equipment for smaller events, including small to medium show setups.
• Handle loading and unloading of equipment.
• Clean equipment after each show and store it correctly.
• Carry out rigging and de-rigging activities safely and in line with procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team both on site and off site.
• Inform the Head of Department about any faulty or defective equipment.
• Support the Head of Department with day-to-day operational needs.
• Complete the annual inventory of Eclipse equipment according to the established process.
• Maintain a solid working knowledge of department equipment.
• Communicate with clients on site in a professional, service-oriented way.
• Follow health and safety rules, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
• Escalate any health and safety concerns to the Group HSE Manager.
• Comply with company policies, standards, rules, and procedures.
• Take on other related tasks assigned by the direct supervisor, within the scope of the role.
