Role overview
Jubilee Heights in Bury is looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep the home safe, welcoming and well maintained. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, paid at £13.77 per hour.

Jubilee Heights is part of Exemplar Health Care, a major provider of nursing care in the UK. Once open, the home will support adults with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health conditions, dementia and physical disabilities.

What the role involves
You will take ownership of the day-to-day upkeep of the home, making sure the building, fixtures, fittings and equipment remain in good working order. The work is varied and hands-on, with no two days likely to be the same.
- Carry out general repair and maintenance tasks across the home.
- Complete decorating work, including painting and related finishing jobs.
- Support garden upkeep and outdoor improvements.
- Handle basic plumbing tasks and minor tiling work.
- Complete regular risk assessments, audits and safety checks.
- Help create a comfortable environment through practical tasks such as hanging pictures, building planters and refreshing bedrooms.
Training and support
If you have not worked in the care sector before, you will be supported with induction, a buddy system and ongoing training to help you settle into the role.
