Role overview
Amazon is looking for an Operations Manager to join the Last Mile team in Chennai. The role supports the Delivery Station site lead in monitoring performance and executing the operating plan so the site can meet and exceed target outcomes. What you will do
- Own and grow business relationships with channel partners or store accounts by creating and executing account plans that unlock shared business opportunities.
- Provide training and coaching on Amazon processes, products, operating methods, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate on-ground execution for new product launches and work closely with operations and other internal teams.
- Prepare and share regular performance reports for stores, including actionable recommendations backed by data and territory-wide network health updates.
- Lead and manage a multi-level team, including performance tracking, mentoring, and hands-on coaching for associates to help them meet targets.
- Set clear expectations, communicate status updates effectively, and maintain productive relationships with assigned or acquired stores to support mutual growth.
- Improve account engagement to strengthen retention and increase business volume.
- Track and drive store performance against key goals such as volume, FTR, and other operational metrics.
- Handle day-to-day operational escalations and remain available around the clock to resolve urgent issues.
- Manage coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support station operations and customer deliveries when needed.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in employee management and performance management.
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, or at least 2 years of experience as an Amazon blue badge/FTE employee.
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience using performance metrics, process improvement methods, or lean techniques.
