Description de l'emploi

Company Overview

Terabase Energy is building software and automation solutions aimed at lowering costs and making large-scale solar development easier to scale. The company is creating a connected platform that combines software with construction automation to help design, optimize, and build utility-scale solar projects across the globe.

The organization brings together experienced solar professionals and people from software, electrical, and mechanical engineering, along with product, project, sales, and marketing teams working from Northern California and other regions worldwide.

Role Summary

Terabase is looking for a Project Manager to take full ownership of execution for a fast-paced solar construction equipment program. The role is responsible for coordinating the overall schedule, key milestone timing, and critical path across several engineering workstreams, supply chain activities, and outside partners. Program management is separated from design leadership so engineering managers can stay focused on technical delivery.

Location and Travel

  • Work is based onsite in Davis/Woodland, California, in the Sacramento area.
  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time to project test sites and partner locations, depending on program needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the master schedule that connects engineering tracks, supply chain work, and external partners.
  • Keep the program moving toward hardware milestones and downstream certification targets.
  • Prepare and lead regular progress updates for program leadership, including weekly internal stand-ups and monthly executive reviews.
  • Oversee the intellectual property disclosure process by routing disclosures from engineering through internal review and then to outside legal counsel, while keeping the disclosure tracker current.
  • Spot program risks early, put mitigation plans in place, and escalate issues that need executive decisions.
  • Coordinate dependencies across functions such as third-party integration partners, supply chain qualification, and accredited test labs.
  • Maintain both a RAID log covering risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, as well as a decision log.
  • Run phase-gate reviews and verify that gate requirements are met before each phase begins.

Requirements

  • At least 5–7+ years of experience managing technical programs or projects in a hardware engineering setting.
  • A proven history of leading multi-track engineering programs through defined milestone gates.
  • Strong executive-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort presenting to senior leadership.
  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field, or comparable industry experience.
  • Working fluency with modern project engineering and management platforms.
  • Preferred: experience in fast-changing engineering projects where new or highly unique development work must be prioritized.
  • Preferred: experience handling intellectual property disclosure workflows involving internal and external counsel.
  • Preferred: PMP, PgMP, or a similar certification.
  • Preferred: familiarity with MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar program management tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay for this role is $130,000 to $155,000, depending on experience and other factors. Final compensation is influenced by work location and relevant job-related skills, experience, education, and training.

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Generous vacation and holiday time off.
  • Hybrid flexibility for work that does not require field presence.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Stock options.
  • Home office setup support.
  • Career growth and learning assistance.

The company welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, gender, age, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, disability, military or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
